Sercotel Rosellón: a rooftop overlooking the Sagrada Família

One of the most spectacular rooftop bars in Barcelona is the Sercotel Rosellón, located just a few steps from the Sagrada Família. From its rooftop, you’ll have a privileged view of Gaudí’s basilica as well as panoramic views across the city.

You can come for brunch, lunch or dinner, or simply enjoy a drink while taking in the views. If you can choose when to visit, sunset is one of the best times to experience the rooftop.

The rooftop is also open to non-hotel guests, but advance booking is required.

Barceló Raval: 360° views of Barcelona

On the 11th floor of the Barceló Raval, you’ll find one of the best panoramic rooftops in Barcelona. Its main attraction is its 360° view, allowing you to take in almost the entire city, from the historic centre to Montjuïc, the Sagrada Família and the Mediterranean.

You can walk around the rooftop to discover Barcelona from different perspectives or sit down for a drink at the rooftop bar. Sunset is one of the best times to visit, as the changing light transforms the city skyline.

The rooftop is also open to non-hotel guests and no advance booking is required. The swimming pool, however, is exclusively for hotel guests.

Located on the top floor of the Royal Passeig de Gràcia, the 83.3 Terrace Bar is one of the most impressive panoramic rooftops in central Barcelona and the highest in the Eixample.

From here, you can enjoy views of the Sagrada Família, Montjuïc and the Mediterranean, as well as a sweeping panorama of Barcelona’s skyline. Thanks to its location, it’s also a great spot to watch the sunset over Montjuïc.

The rooftop is covered and heated, making it a great option throughout the year. It’s open to everyone, whether you’re staying at the hotel or not, and you can enjoy a cocktail alongside a selection of street food.

Arenas de Barcelona Viewpoint: views of Montjuïc and Plaça Espanya

The Arenas de Barcelona Viewpoint, located on the top floor of the former bullring in Plaça Espanya, offers one of the most accessible 360° panoramic views in the city.

From here, you’ll have particularly impressive views of Plaça Espanya, Montjuïc and the Palau Nacional, home to the MNAC, as well as much of the Eixample and Barcelona’s skyline.

Several restaurants and terraces surround the viewpoint, where you can stop for a meal or a drink with a view, although you don’t need to order anything to access the viewpoint.

You can reach the rooftop for free using the escalators or lifts inside the shopping centre. There is also a paid panoramic lift outside that takes you directly to the rooftop.

Ohla Barcelona: a rooftop above the Gothic Quarter

The Ohla Barcelona, located on Via Laietana just a few steps from Barcelona Cathedral, is easily recognisable by the hundreds of ceramic eyes decorating its façade.

On the hotel’s rooftop, you’ll find a terrace with a swimming pool and beautiful views over Barcelona’s historic centre. From here, you can look out across the rooftops of Ciutat Vella and spot some of the most distinctive buildings on the city’s skyline.

1881 per Sagardi: a rooftop overlooking Port Vell

Located on the top floor of the Museum of the History of Catalonia, inside the Palau de Mar, 1881 per Sagardi is a Mediterranean restaurant with a large rooftop terrace overlooking Barcelona’s harbour.

Its Terrassa de les Indianes is one of its main attractions, offering beautiful views of Port Vell and the Barcelona skyline, especially at sunset.

You can come for lunch or dinner and enjoy its Mediterranean cuisine, including fish, seafood and rice dishes, or simply stop by for a cocktail and an appetiser on the terrace.

The H10 Casa Mimosa, located on the same block as La Pedrera, has one of Barcelona’s most special rooftops for anyone interested in Gaudí’s architecture.

On the top floor of the hotel, you’ll find El Cel de Gaudí, a rooftop offering privileged views of La Pedrera (Casa Milà) and its famous chimneys from a completely different perspective to the one you see from Passeig de Gràcia.

The Hotel Casa Fuster, designed by Modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, stands at the end of Passeig de Gràcia, right where the Gràcia neighbourhood begins.

On the 10th floor of The Barcelona EDITION, next to Santa Caterina Market, you’ll find The Roof, an elegant rooftop terrace overlooking Barcelona’s historic centre.

From here, you can enjoy views across the rooftops of El Born and the Gothic Quarter, Santa Maria del Mar, Parc de la Ciutadella and, most notably, the colourful, undulating roof of Santa Caterina Market. In the distance, you can also see the Mediterranean.

Surrounded by greenery, the rooftop has a relaxed atmosphere during the day that becomes livelier as evening approaches. It’s a great place to enjoy a cocktail or Mediterranean-inspired food while taking in the views over Barcelona.

The rooftop is open to both hotel guests and the general public and does not accept reservations: tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Rooftop at Sir Victor: views of La Pedrera and the Sagrada Família

The former Hotel Omm is now the Sir Victor Hotel, but its rooftop remains one of the most interesting spots to enjoy Barcelona from above.

Located just off Passeig de Gràcia, The Rooftop offers privileged views of La Pedrera (Casa Milà) and, in the distance, the Sagrada Família. Its location provides a unique perspective over some of the Eixample’s most iconic landmarks.

On the 26th floor of the iconic W Barcelona, you’ll find NOXE, a Japanese restaurant, cocktail bar and club with spectacular panoramic views. This space was formerly known as Eclipse.

Its location right by the sea offers a completely different perspective of Barcelona, with views over the Mediterranean, Barceloneta Beach and the city skyline.

It’s particularly impressive at sunset, when you can enjoy the views over a cocktail or dinner before the space transforms into a lively nightlife venue with music later in the evening.
